WobblefolkDoodle avatar maker

A doodle avatar maker: tap a part to swap it, add a line of text, and keep a link that always shows the same character.

Open Wobblefolk

Most avatar makers want an account before they show you anything, or hand you a polished cartoon that looks like everyone else’s. Sometimes you just want a small, slightly odd character for a profile picture or a story, and you want it in a minute.

Wobblefolk builds one from eight layers of ink doodles: background, pattern, body, outfit, eyes, mouth, face extras and hair. Shuffle for a random one, then tap any part of the character to swap it. The lines keep wobbling a little, like ink that never quite dried. No account, nothing to install.

The Wobblefolk maker: a doodle character with curly hair, sleepy eyes and a striped shirt on a yellow background, next to the eight layer pickers

How it works

  1. Shuffle. Open wobblefolk.com and press Shuffle until a character catches your eye.
  2. Tweak it. Tap the hair, eyes, outfit or background on the preview, or use the arrows next to each layer, to flip through the parts one at a time.
  3. Keep it. Save a PNG, share the link, or open Add text to put a speech bubble on it in a portrait, square or story-sized frame.

Features

  • A link that never changes — every character has its own address, and that address always draws the same picture. New parts are only ever added, so nothing you shared gets redrawn later.
  • Text that fits a story — speech bubbles, muttered asides, plain or outlined text in four rounded and handwritten fonts, with a 9:16 frame for Instagram and similar stories.
  • English, Korean and Japanese — the whole site is in all three, and fonts that cannot draw the script you typed are switched off.
  • Try before you pay — Pro parts show up while you shuffle, and you can preview any of them with a watermark. More are still being added.
  • Phone cases — send a character to Zazzle to put it on an iPhone case (iPhone 11 to 17). Zazzle handles payment, printing and shipping.

The Add text editor: the same character in a story frame with a "Powered by coffee" speech bubble, and controls for frame, style, font, color, size and rotation

FAQ

Is it free? Making characters, sharing links and saving PNGs for personal use is free today, with no account. Free saves carry a small site signature at the bottom. That is how things stand now rather than a promise; if it changes, this page will say so first.

What does Pro add? Two one-time purchases, no subscription. Pro ($7) adds 36 extra parts in party, animal and everyday sets, plus signature-free 2400 px PNGs, for personal use. More Pro parts are on the way, added as they are ready rather than on a fixed schedule, and buyers get them at no extra cost. Pro Commercial ($19) adds SVG files and a license for products, branding, client work and ads. Prices as shown on the Pro page on 16 October 2026. Payment and receipts go through Polar, and you activate with the license key from the receipt email.

Is my character unique? No. Anyone can land on the same combination, and the license does not let you register a character as a trademark. What you do get is a permanent link to exactly that drawing.

Can I use it on merch other than phone cases? Not from the site yet. Phone cases through Zazzle are the only product connected right now. You can still save the image and use it for personal projects.
